Adult Education in the Parlor-Lenten Series

Join the adult education class meeting in the parlor for our Lenten series Entering the Passion of Jesus:  A Beginner’s Guide to Holy Week.  We’ll dive deep into the biblical texts surrounding the events of Holy Week using commentary from Amy-Jill Levine, Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School.  Levine explores characters such as Judas, Pilate, Caiaphas, the disciples, and the women around Jesus to understand their relationships and roles in the last days before the crucifixion.  As a Jewish woman teaching in a Protestant seminary, Levine brings a unique perspective to the Passion narrative.
